COER Gets Matching Gift

Double your gift to help Roll Back Growler Jet Noise

Dear Friends and Neighbors, we filed our Preliminary Injunction to Roll Back The Noise!

COER’s Preliminary Injunction, filed on February 13th, seeks to roll back Growler training at the Coupeville OLF to pre-2019 levels until a final decision is made under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) lawsuit against the Navy.

While COER seeks to roll back Growler jet noise in Central Whidbey, we suggest to the court that Growler operations be moved to one or more environmentally suited off-Whidbey locations available to the Navy. As a member of the Sound Defense Alliance, COER supports moving Growler operations out of NW Washington.

COER takes this legal action on behalf of the environment, our health and safety, and for our families and businesses — AND it has DOUBLED our legal costs! Doing the right thing comes with a hefty price tag! We hope you’ll share this historic responsibility with us.

Luckily, a matching gift of $50,000 has just been received to encourage a community-wide match! Our goal is to raise $100,000 by April 1st. This means that your gift will be doubled while it helps fuel our legal battles to roll back more Growler jets, flights and unbearable noise.
