We want to thank everyone who took the time to join our Wednesday night’s joint Zoom meeting with Sound Defense Alliance (SDA) and Citizens of Ebey’s Reserve (COER) board members! At the meeting, we encouraged our community to attend the Navy’s upcoming public meetings and bring along as many people as possible.
In reviewing the Navy’s Draft Amended Analysis in detail, we see that it is woefully inadequate and not in compliance with Judge Jones’ order. We assume that these public meetings will be nothing more than attempts to justify the Navy’s analysis.
SDA and COER board members will be at the Navy’s public meetings. Our voices matter. Our position on the Growler expansion has been mischaracterized repeatedly. We have never called for the closing of NASWI. We have consistently asked for the Navy to recognize and mitigate the harms being done to our community and environment by the Growler training over our neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the Navy’s public meetings next week. However, if you are, understandably, not motivated to attend, please instead spend time reviewing and outlining the Navy’s analysis to help us as we move forward. Most importantly, please file your comments in response to the Navy’s analysis by April 28th.
Please encourage others to write comments as well, and remember: We are in this for the long haul.

Why are they now flying over Greenbank. We were not in their flight pattern previously, but seem to be now. Why????
